Pledge and Costs:
An adequate program of sponsorship expects a continuance in the time,
not only for a consecutive support of economical matter, but above all
because it is established between You and the child/monk a connection
of love and solidarity. You are anyhow free to interrupt the program
if you face unexpected financial problems, in that case please inform
promptly the Association. The basic sponsorship for a year is of euro
180,00 plus a contribution of euro 10,00 to support Kid Aid, who wants
obviously can contribute in superior measure respect the basic sponsorship.
The way of the money:
The money for the sponsorship are bank wired directly in India, and
therefore assigned by Geshe Lobsang Phelgye, (Tibetan Lama that collaborates
with KidAid in India) directly to the child/monk and/or their parents/tutors.
Please be informed that sometimes, due to the oscillations of the currency
changes, and of the deductions carried out from the Indian Banks slightly
differences can be noticed in the final allocation of the donations.
The Correspondence:
After the deposit of the donation you can write (in English) presenting
yourselves and announcing that you are the new Sponsor. This will allow
you to establish a kind friendship with the child/monk, either with
their parents or tutors; Please be also patience because between your
letter and their answer can take even a month, sometimes even more,
this in part for the distance by your Country and India or because some
families do not read/write in English and therefore should wait the
availability of a translator. You can send also some snaps of you and
some postcards, the children in particularly, appreciate it a lot.
Shipping of packages, caution:
Sometimes the packages are object of theft and therefore risk of not
to arrive to destination. Caution therefore! The sole shipping that
offers a certain guarantee is across the International registered Letter
with receipt of return.
KidAid Direct:
KidAid Direct is the program of helps by a free donation only that Kid
Aid will administrate to support children or monks or for projects of
solidarity (see www.karunahome.com) directed to the needs of the Tibetan
in exiles.
Therefore free donations are most welcome!
